JOURNALS
To make sure your family’s stories do not disappear. Most parents never sit down to share the memories, struggles and life lessons that shaped them. This journal has been designed to give them a clear and gentle structure to write it all down, from their childhood to their culture to the defining moments of their life. Once finished, it becomes a family keepsake that can be passed down to future generations so your children and grandchildren can know where they come from.
The journals are written with Indian families in mind, taking into consideration our traditions, values, lifestyle, culture and backgrounds. If your parents or grandparents have roots in India or East Africa, they will recognise themselves in these pages wherever they live today.
Older generations often feel more natural writing by hand. Handwriting slows you down and helps parents remember more, reflect more deeply and express themselves in their own natural voice and handwriting. These small details are what we will one day treasure. The physical journal also becomes a keepsake you can hold, gift and pass down. Screens get replaced, accounts get deleted and digital files get lost. A handwritten book lasts for generations.
You can gift it to any loved one whose stories you want to preserve. It works beautifully for mums, dads and grandparents, who often enjoy it even more because they have a lifetime of memories to share.
The questions are written in simple, clear English. Your parent can write their answers in any language they feel comfortable with. It's their own words, expression and handwriting that make it so special.
It is a guided journal with structured prompts and space to write. The questions help your parent reflect on their childhood, family life, culture and the moments that shaped them.

SHERU THE TIGER
Sheru is our screen-free, multi-sensory language learning toy that helps children learn their mother tongue through play. Kids insert flashcards into Sheru and he speaks the word or short phrase out loud. Utilising their senses and making it playful, is what is the key to their learning.
We are releasing our upgraded Sheru in Gujarati, Hindi and Punjabi. Each version comes with its own set of words, short phrases and value add features.
Sheru works best for children aged two to ten years. To decide if Sheru would be a suitable gift for the particular age of a child, a benchmark would be that the less exposure a child has to their mother tongue, the more helpful Sheru becomes.
We are upgrading Sheru with a new design, more words, short phrases and extra features. The new Sheru will be released in the first quarter of the new year. Join the Pehli newsletter for early access!
